The Bird Electric Hotliner is made in CNC moulds and has the same high quality construction and finish as all the other models in the Bird range and compares with any of top quality models available worldwide.

The electric version use the same wing and tail as the slope model but differs in that the fuselage comes in two parts. It features a convenient removable nose cone, designed to hold the motor, speed control, and battery that slides into the rest of the fuselage when ready for flying. This makes changing battery packs at the field a breeze - no more removing the wing to change packs!!!

The Bird-E is capable of taking a wide range of electric power systems having a nose diameter of 40mm. 8 Sub-C sized cells will easily fit in the nose cone, more if smaller cells are used. Alternatively power systems using the newer higher performance LiPo packs are another good alternative.

The fuselage comes complete with carbon push rod with adjustable V-tail linkage (with ball links already attached). It features a fiberglass construction with carbon reinforcement in all the right areas. 

Wings are available as glass or full carbon lay ups and are of a glass, or carbon, herex sandwich construction. The full carbon version is virtually unbreakable!  All control surfaces have wipers with live top hinged ailerons and bottom hinged flaps (flaps on carbon version only). Recessed areas in the wing allow for easy installation of servos, with molded servo covers giving a clean professional finish to the wing.

Construction of the V-tail is virtually the same as the wing, only smaller, featuring wipers and have ball linkages already installed.

An accessories pack rounds out the package and comes complete with quality wing bolts (and a hex key for these!) and brass control horns for the wing.

Color combinations of white, red,  yellow and blue are available. We never know what we are going to get so call to see what we have available.

Please note that the glass wing version comes standard with ailerons only (an aileron / flap version available by special order). The full carbon wing includes ailerons and flaps.
